April Featured Artist

This month's Featured Artist was submitted by Mammy Dalby, whose middle daughter Lexie was featured back in January. It's by her eldest daughter Charlotte.  The picture is described as follows:

From top left clockwise: 'Papa Nash in his pants, the world, a face, dots, a car in storm clouds, Wayne from Higgley Town Heroes wearing glasses'.   

According to her mum, Charlotte doesn't think she should draw a new picture if all the ideas occur to her at once!

The monthly Featured Artist is selected from images uploaded to the Artful Kids Flickr Group.  If anyone has any masterpieces (drawings and paintings) created by children under 12 that they would like to contribute to the group, your contributions would be very welcome.

March Featured Artist

This month's Featured Artist has been contributed by Mollimoo, and is by her daughter, aged 3.  The intriguing title of this one is 'Me riding an Elephant Snake!' I think it's quite accomplished for a 3 year old.

First Featured Artist of 2010

Here is my first Featured Artist of 2010.

This artwork was submitted to the Artful Kids Flickr Group by mammydalby whose daughter Lexie is the artist.  It's a little different to the work I have featured so far, and with all the pink blossom on the tree, reminds me of spring and sunnier days to come, (hopefully soon, though it seems very distant at the moment with all the snow around).

Featured Artist with a Seasonal Theme

My second Featured Artist has been chosen with a seasonal theme.  This contribution was made by HotdogandMe, and is the work of her 5 year old daughter.  It shows Santa in his sleigh in a starry sky, a Christmas tree, snowman, and house with people.  I love this picture, and it reminds me of the work of my own 5 year old.
